Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that Malaysia has upheld the One-China policy since the time of Tun Abdul Razak. He reiterated this stance in response to criticisms following remarks made during a recent interview.
Anwar stated that Malaysia's long-standing position on Taiwan remains unchanged and expressed that the One-China policy does not require Malaysia to comment on the actions of Beijing towards Taiwan.
Meanwhile, Haim, a member of the Central PAS Committee, urged Anwar not to involve Malaysia in the China-Taiwan conflict, citing that the One-China principle should not obligate Malaysia to express views on the situation. These remarks underline the ongoing discussions surrounding Malaysia's diplomatic stance.
