President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Administrative Order No. 43, which enables contract of service (COS) and job order (JO) workers to voluntarily have their contributions to government programs deducted from their pay. This order aims to facilitate the contributions to the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.

According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the administrative order, signed on June 3, 2026, instructs government agencies to ensure the timely remittance of these deductions, providing COS and JO workers with greater access to social protection benefits.
