Maxime Grousset wins silver in the 100m butterfly at the European Championships

Maxime Grousset, the two-time reigning world champion in the 100m butterfly, finished second in this event during the European Swimming Championships held at the Aquatic Centre in Saint-Denis on Thursday. This performance earned him his third medal of the competition. According to Le Monde, Grousset expressed a sense of emotional redemption, two years after disappointing individual performances at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
A few minutes after Grousset, Mary-Ambre Moluh also shone by winning a silver medal in the 50m backstroke. Le Figaro reported that the swimming meet in Saint-Denis was also highlighted by the individual return of Olympic champion Léon Marchand, who dominated his heat in the 200m butterfly.
