Midterm elections in the United States: results and turnout
The midterm elections in the United States are taking place today, with real-time vote counting and results being tracked.

The United States is holding its midterm elections on Tuesday, November 3, during which the entire House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate will be renewed. The electoral process will include voting for 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats, which are essential for the future composition of Congress, as well as 36 gubernatorial races and various local referendums.
Live vote counting indicates that over 58 million votes have been registered so far, marking a record in the nation's electoral history. Voter participation has been significant, with a notable increase in early voting, prompting observers to closely monitor the development of the process.
Results will begin to be reported state by state once the polls close, and exit polls have indicated a lead for Democrats in several contests. However, Republicans are seeking to maintain their control and overturn the electoral landscape, which serves as a referendum on President Donald Trump's administration.

In this context, in addition to party issues, voters will also be deciding on 145 state referendums on topics such as immigration, taxes, and social policies, reflecting the current polarization in the country.
The elections have also garnered international interest, with notable attention, including an electronic voting system used by NASA astronauts who cast their votes from the International Space Station.
As polling places close in various states, reports on candidate performance and reactions are expected to emerge as results begin to solidify.
