The federal Minister of Mobility, Jean-Luc Crucke (Les Engagés), stated on Tuesday that the federal government is currently discussing proposals for a structural approach to the noise pollution surrounding Brussels Airport.

Crucke indicated that a decision regarding the proposed measures must be made by early October.

This announcement follows reports that approximately forty families from Flemish Brabant are taking legal action against a controversial flight path for runway 07L.

Noise pollution around the airport remains a concern for the affected communities.
