Miss Brasil Supranational 2026 loses title after announcing pregnancy
Model Lara Marina Soares Tosta, 19, lost the title of Miss Brasil Supranational 2026 after revealing her pregnancy.

Lara Marina Soares Tosta, known as Miss Brasil Supranational 2026, announced on social media on Wednesday (26) that she lost her title after revealing her pregnancy. The 19-year-old model is from Afonso Cláudio in the mountainous region of Espírito Santo. She won the national title during a competition held in Pernambuco in February this year.
Before Lara disclosed her pregnancy, the organizer of the National Beauty Contest (CNB) had announced the decision, which generated public reaction on social media. The pregnancy led to the title loss, according to the contest rules.
The young woman who was dethroned not only gained recognition as Miss Brasil but also achieved third place at Miss Supranational 2026 in Poland, a feat celebrated in July. However, her path drastically changed in less than a month when she faced the loss of the Miss Brasil title.

In response to the events, Lara stated that being a future mother does not diminish her history and experience in pageants. The outcome of the contest and the CNB's decision sparked debate among the model's followers and admirers, who expressed their support on social media.
The situation of Miss Brasil Supranational 2026 reopened discussions about beauty pageant rules and the implications related to pregnancy, as other similar cases have occurred in different countries. Reactions have ranged from approval to criticism, reflecting diverse opinions on how motherhood is perceived in such competitions.
In this context, Lara Marina will need to readjust to this new phase of her life while preparing for the arrival of her baby, leaving a legacy with her journey in beauty pageants despite losing the title.
