At the long-course European Championships in Paris, Roman Mityukov set a new Swiss record in the 200-meter backstroke. He improved his personal best but narrowly missed the bronze medal by just 11 hundredths of a second.
Finishing in fourth place in the final, Mityukov ended up without a medal. Flavio Bucca took eighth place in the same race, according to SRF.
