More than 100 workers trapped in a tunnel in Nepal
The Nepalese army deploys helicopters to rescue workers trapped in a hydroelectric tunnel due to flooding.

According to several sources, more than 100 workers are trapped in a tunnel of a hydroelectric power plant in Nepal. Rescue efforts are mobilizing to safely evacuate them. Flooding in the region has created dangerous conditions, including the risk of further mudslides.
The Nepalese army has deployed two helicopters to aid in the evacuation of trapped workers. Additionally, rescue operations have already managed to save other individuals, with some reports suggesting that approximately 350 workers have been rescued.
The situation remains concerning, with water levels on the verge of overflowing in Tibet, leading to a suspension of rescue operations on that side of the border. Local authorities are worried about the potential collapse of a dam.

Warnings have been issued by the Nepalese government regarding a possible second flood, attributed to the formation of a lake following glacial collapses. This threat could further complicate the ongoing rescue efforts.
Humanitarian operations continue, but rescuers face significant logistical and environmental challenges. The situation remains delicate as rescue teams attempt to reach those trapped and ensure their safety.
