NAC Breda dismisses coach Carl Hoefkens after disappointing performances
NAC Breda has terminated the contract of head coach Carl Hoefkens following a disappointing start in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

NAC Breda has terminated the contract of head coach Carl Hoefkens with immediate effect. This news was confirmed via the official club website. Technical director Peter Maas and general director Remco Oversier stated in a joint statement that Hoefkens was extensively evaluated this summer.
According to the statement, several areas for improvement identified in this evaluation have not been realized, prompting NAC to make this decision. Under Hoefkens' leadership, NAC finished the previous season, which ended in relegation from the Eredivisie, in a disappointing position.
After five rounds of matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, NAC has currently collected seven points and sits eleventh in the league. The poor start has led to discontent within the club, which ultimately contributed to the coach's dismissal.

The dismissal decision came shortly after a 4-2 defeat against RKC. It is crucial for the club to find a suitable successor who can improve performances and get the club back on track.
Hoefkens, a 47-year-old Belgian, had been responsible for the team since his appointment, but his time at the club has now come to an end. It remains unclear who will act as interim coach or as a permanent replacement.
NAC must now reorganize to prevent further losses and stabilize their situation in the league while also considering their strategic future and squad. Confirmation from the club regarding these matters is expected later.
