Nas inspections: more than half of bars and restaurants found irregular
Inspections by the Carabinieri's Nas of 272 bars and restaurants revealed irregularities in over half of the cases, with ten businesses suspended.

In July, the Carabinieri of the Nas conducted inspections on 272 bars and dining establishments across Italy to verify compliance with the bottling and serving of treated water. The inspections revealed serious irregularities, with over half of the establishments inspected presenting violations.
In total, 126 individuals were reported, and 256 violations were contested. The inspections also resulted in the suspension of ten businesses due to sanitary and structural deficiencies and the seizure of thousands of liters of water.
According to reports, the operation highlights the need for stricter controls in the hospitality sector to ensure public health and the quality of served waters. A comprehensive review of hygiene regulations and practices appears essential.
