A necklace that belonged to Egyptian Queen Nazli has been stolen in Vienna. It was made in 1939 for the wedding of her daughter to the future Shah of Persia. The value of the piece is estimated at around €3.7 million.

The incident occurred at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), from where the necklace was taken. This theft is part of a series of recent art heists, which have also seen significant events in Spain, where artworks have disappeared in mere minutes.

Investigations into the theft of the necklace are ongoing, while work continues in Italy regarding the theft of paintings by Antonello da Messina. Additionally, the Ecce Homo has returned to L'Aquila after causing controversy during a recent meeting.
