Vienna restaurants charging up to €3.60 for tap water
A survey by the Workers' Chamber shows that only three out of 30 tested establishments in Vienna offer tap water for free.
According to a survey by the Workers' Chamber (AK), many restaurants in Vienna are now charging fees for tap water. The study tested 30 dining establishments, with only three offering water for free.
The cost for one liter of tap water is only €2.27. Nevertheless, guests in some restaurants may pay up to €3.60 for tap water, making this practice an exception, according to the AK survey results.
