Nepal: UN increases aid to $2.15 million following floods
The UN has adjusted its humanitarian aid value to $2.15 million due to flooding in Nepal.

The floods that occurred in Nepal on August 26 caused significant destruction, affecting a 72-kilometer stretch with damaged roads and bridges. The resulting damage from the disaster has demanded a swift and coordinated response from the authorities.
In response to the situation, the United Nations (UN) announced an increase in humanitarian aid to $2.15 million. This support aims to address the emerging needs of the affected population and facilitate relief operations.

Additionally, the UN is working together with the Nepalese government to prepare an emergency humanitarian appeal that is proposed to last four months. This initiative aims to gather additional resources to mitigate the effects of the floods.
The joint efforts of the two entities aim not only at immediate recovery but also at the long-term reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure and support for the affected communities. Adverse weather conditions and logistical challenges further complicate the current situation.
