New Center for Drone Security Opens in Saxony-Anhalt
A national research center dedicated to drone security has officially opened in Saxony-Anhalt, aiming to develop and test innovative technologies.

A national research center for drone security was inaugurated this morning in Saxony-Anhalt. The location will be used to research and test technologies for the detection and defense against drones under realistic conditions.
According to the Federal Ministry, the center will be a central component of Germany's security architecture in handling the hybrid threat posed by drones. Targeted defensive measures are to be developed at the Magdeburg-Cochstedt test airport.
Experts have long warned about the potential dangers drones pose to airports and other infrastructures. Thus, the new technology center is expected to play an important role in finding solutions to these challenges.
