New Protection for Quantum Cryptography Systems Developed in Russia
A research group has presented a new protective mechanism against attacks on quantum cryptography systems.

An engineering and quantum laboratory group called "SFB Lab," in collaboration with the Center for Quantum Technologies at Lomonosov Moscow State University, has developed a new approach to securing quantum key distribution systems. This aims to defend against attacks known as blinding attacks on photodetectors. The findings of this research were published in the journal "Physical Review Applied."
The newly developed protection mechanism is secured by patent number RU 2 856 208 C1 of the Russian Federation. This could significantly enhance protection against potential threats to quantum communication in the future.
