Nottingham Forest is currently engaged in discussions with Chelsea regarding the potential signing of striker Liam Delap. Reports indicate that these negotiations are at an advanced stage, underscoring Forest's interest in bolstering their squad before the transfer window closes.

Liam Delap, aged 23, has faced challenges at Chelsea, finding himself out of favor and training away from the first team under coach Xabi Alonso. This situation has led to speculation about his future as he seeks more playtime.

Nottingham Forest's head coach, Oliver Glasner, has expressed a desire to add two more players to his team during the current transfer window. This aligns with the club's strategy to enhance their roster ahead of upcoming matches.

Delap has been on Nottingham Forest's radar previously, notably when he chose to join Chelsea from Ipswich. His journey has brought him back into focus as Forest seeks to strengthen its attacking options.

The interest from Forest comes amid challenging circumstances for Delap at Stamford Bridge, where he has reportedly been sidelined from regular first-team duties. His current situation may influence Chelsea's willingness to negotiate a transfer.

As the transfer window approaches its deadline, it remains critical for both clubs to finalize any potential agreement, which could see Delap make a significant move away from Chelsea.
