In massive Russian assaults on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, at least twelve people have been killed, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Civil defense reported 34 injuries. The attacks focused on various areas of the city, with a children’s hospital also reportedly being damaged.
Russia has increasingly deployed ballistic missiles in these airstrikes. These attacks come at a time when Ukraine continues to struggle with a shortage of air defense missiles, significantly hampering the defense against the air raids.
The situation in Kyiv remains tense, as Russian attacks have intensified in recent days. Local authorities warn that the number of casualties and damage caused may continue to rise.
Mayor Klitschko has urged the population to exercise particular caution and to seek safety as the city prepares for further assaults.
