According to heise online, only 1.8 percent of German websites use the standardized file security.txt, which would provide a contact option for security inquiries. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) points out the associated risks.
The BSI emphasizes that there will be reporting obligations in the future aimed at improving internet security. The inadequate use of security.txt could potentially lead to dangers for IT security.
