OpenAI considers slowing AI development and postpones IPO
OpenAI is contemplating slowing down its artificial intelligence development and plans to delay its IPO until 2026.

OpenAI, a leading company in artificial intelligence, is considering slowing the pace of development related to AI technologies. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, hopes that the industry can reach an agreement on the responsible handling of AI.
These considerations come at a time when numerous voices from the tech industry, including prominent leaders, have advocated for slowing down AI development. Dario Amodei, head of Anthropic, has emphasized the need for a slower approach to minimize potential risks. Altman and Elon Musk also support this approach.
Additionally, Altman stated that OpenAI would not go public this year. An IPO had been anticipated after extensive preparations. Altman described the current moment as unfavorable for such a step.

In the same debate, former U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed calls to slow down AI development. During his visit to Ireland, Trump commented that behind these demands
are negative forces.
