OpenAI has begun to roll out its most powerful artificial intelligence model, GPT-6 Astra, starting October 3. The company, based in San Francisco, claims this new model has the ability to operate a computer autonomously, marking a significant advancement in AI technology.

GPT-6 Astra stands out for its focus on cybersecurity, being capable of managing a wide variety of tasks autonomously. According to available information, this model is designed to perform complex professional tasks, including scientific and engineering workflows, thereby improving its effectiveness and precision.

Furthermore, OpenAI asserts that this is the first model classified as being capable of reaching a "critical threshold of cybersecurity." This implies that GPT-6 Astra could identify previously unknown security vulnerabilities.

Greg, the president of OpenAI, has stated that he believes the company has achieved artificial general intelligence (AGI) with this development, although he leaves it up to users to evaluate whether Astra meets the definitions of generative autonomy.

As OpenAI prepares for its initial public offering, the company has mentioned the possibility of having developed an AI with superhuman capabilities. However, Sam Altman, one of its executives, commented that such a description is more in line with marketing than technical reality.

GPT-6 Astra is already available to business partners, and OpenAI is preparing to launch a commercial version in the near future. This launch has generated excitement within the tech and business communities, as it is seen as a significant advancement in the capabilities of artificial intelligences.
