The Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 152 issued a writ of preliminary injunction on Thursday, which extends the suspension of the P85 daily minimum wage hike in the National Capital Region (NCR). This extension comes as the court assesses a petition filed by two construction companies regarding the wage increase.

The order was detailed in a 14-page ruling from the presiding judge, which highlights the ongoing legal considerations surrounding the minimum wage adjustment. The court's decision aims to maintain the status quo while the petition is reviewed.

The suspension affects businesses and workers in Metro Manila, as the court weighs the merits of the case before making a final determination on the wage hike.
