Paul Seixas wins Lombardy Tour, becomes youngest champion
Twenty-year-old Frenchman Paul Seixas triumphs at the Lombardy Tour, breaking a 121-year-old record. He claims the victory solo after several protests from the riders.

Paul Seixas won the 120th Lombardy Tour on Saturday, marking a significant achievement in his career. The 20-year-old Frenchman crossed the finish line in Como after a distance of 239 kilometers, securing the victory solo.
Before the start of the autumn classic, there was a protest by the riders that delayed the beginning of the race. The protest was directed against the conditions on the route, which caused excitement among the riders. However, this did not deter the young Frenchman.
Seixas' victory is particularly noteworthy as it crowns him the youngest champion of the Lombardy Tour, breaking a record that has stood for 121 years. The conditions on the route had been heavily discussed beforehand, influencing the performance of the upcoming riders.

In second and third place were Enric Mas from Spain and Italy's Giulio Ciccone. Mas, who had entered as the Vuelta winner, could not keep up with Seixas' pace and had to settle for second place, while Ciccone took third.
Top favorite Remco Evenepoel could not assert his claims and finished in fourth place. He collapsed on the penultimate climb, which contributed to his defeat. Evenepoel had been considered one of the main contenders beforehand.
Seixas' victory is seen as a highlight of a promising career to date, making him one of the most promising talents in cycling. Seixas impressively showcased his class and skills in this challenging race.
