The company Pergaminhoflash is contesting the preliminary results of the international public tender launched by the Government for the daily distribution of printed newspapers in low-density areas. This tender, valued at three million euros, was initiated during the summer and aims to ensure the distribution of newspapers for the next three years.

The results of the tender were announced on August 20, with Vasp winning both lots of distribution awarded. According to reports, Pergaminhoflash, led by Rui Marques Santos, recorded a difference of 5.47 points in the results compared to its competitor.

In response to the outcome, Pergaminhoflash has exercised its right to a hearing regarding the preliminary report of the tender, requesting a review of the data that led to the final decision. The company believes there are grounds to contest the results.

The tender is seen as an important opportunity to strengthen the presence of newspapers in less densely populated areas, where the circulation of printed publications is often challenged. The participation of several companies in this process highlights the interest in the area of distribution in the press.

The Government has not yet commented on the review request submitted by Pergaminhoflash. The situation could spark a broader debate about transparency and competitive processes in the publication distribution sector.

The next steps in the process are open, as Pergaminhoflash awaits a response to its petition. This dispute may influence how public tenders for distribution are managed in the future, particularly in low-density areas.
