The heirs of Luis Cernuda have condemned that the plaque in Seville honoring the poet includes a second surname, from which Cernuda distanced himself during his exile. They argue that only the name 'Luis Cernuda' should be inscribed.
According to reports, the City Council of Seville has corrected one of the previously noted spelling errors but has decided to maintain another typographical mistake on the plaque, which has generated further criticism among the poet's family.
