Peter Thiel invests in Argentine oil company Vista in Vaca Muerta

Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and owner of Palantir, has made his first investment in the Argentine field of Vaca Muerta. According to reports, Thiel acquired a 1% stake in the company Vista, one of the main operators in the region.

The investment by the American entrepreneur is valued at approximately 76 million dollars. The funds for this acquisition were sourced through his hedge fund, Thiel Macro.

Vista was founded by Miguel Galuccio, who also serves as its leader. This move marks Thiel's entry into the energy sector of Argentina as the country seeks to leverage its resources in the Vaca Muerta area.

Thiel's stake in Vista also coincides with his interest in the political project of Javier Milei, although no further details have been provided regarding the connection between this investment and the current political context in Argentina.
