Branch 98 of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court has issued a warrant of arrest against Vice President Sara Duterte, according to her lawyer Paul Lawrence Lim. The warrant follows three counts of grave threats allegedly made by Duterte against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., his wife, and a cousin, reportedly involving threats of hiring a hitman.

In response to the arrest order, Lim confirmed that Duterte has no intention of evading the law and plans to pursue all available legal remedies. This statement was made as the news regarding the warrant began to circulate publicly.

The issuance of the arrest warrant has prompted reactions from various officials. Malacañang, the executive branch of the Philippine government, expressed respect for the court's decision. Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro conveyed this message, stating that the Palace respects any decision or order issued by the court.
