Pogacar ends season and extends contract until 2032
Injured cyclist Tadej Pogacar has concluded his 2023 competition season and simultaneously extended his contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG until 2032.

Tadej Pogacar has ended his 2023 season due to a serious injury sustained during the Vuelta. This has been confirmed by multiple sources, including sportschau.de and tagesschau.de.
In addition to ending his season, Pogacar announced that he has extended his contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG for two more years until 2032. This decision has also been reported by Der Tagesspiegel and Die Presse.

As the defending champion, Pogacar will not be able to participate in this year's World Championships. The fall at the Vuelta has affected his competitive plans for the remainder of the season.
