Pontegadea, Amancio Ortega's holding, reported a 7.8% increase in profits for the year 2025, reaching over €10 billion. This growth has been supported by a rise in the value of the company's assets, which exceeds €117.085 billion, representing an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous year, 2024.

Additionally, it has been reported that Pontegadea has executed a sale totaling €325 million. This transaction is related to the interest of the Portuguese government in acquiring a stake in REN, the gas and electricity operator, prompting Ortega to divest from this sector.

Despite this sale, Ortega continues to hold a significant investment of €3.56 billion in other strategic sectors, reinforcing his position in various markets.
