President Droupadi Murmu has approved a total of 78 gallantry awards, which include 13 posthumous recognitions. These awards honor the brave acts of personnel from the armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

The awards consist of nine Kirti Chakras, the second highest peacetime gallantry award in India, awarded to three defence personnel and six CAPF officials, with seven of the Kirti Chakras being posthumous. Additionally, the approved awards feature one Bar to a Shaurya Chakra, 19 Shaurya Chakras (of which one is posthumous), five Bars to Sena Medals (Gallantry), 36 Sena Medals (with five being posthumous), three Nao Sena Medals, and five Vayu Sena Medals.

These awards reflect the commitment and courage displayed by these individuals in the line of duty, recognizing both living and deceased personnel for their extraordinary contributions. The announcement was reported by several news outlets.
