PS's Rentrée in Olhão Focuses on Cost of Living and Government Criticism

During the Socialist Party's (PS) rentrée in Olhão, Secretary-General José Luís Carneiro addressed the issue of the cost of living and the Government's shortcomings. The event, which included a popular festival, emphasized the need for the PS to reconnect with citizens and highlighted the urgency of tackling the current problems facing the country.

Carneiro criticized the Government's management, stating that it is "overwhelmed by problems" and "disconnected from reality." The PS leader reaffirmed that the Government's responses to the crises facing the country have been insufficient, pointing out issues such as the situation concerning national exams.

The parliamentary assessment regarding the decree that redefines the reorganization of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) was also mentioned, underscoring concerns about the effectiveness of public services.

The Socialist Party's rentrée, which marks the return to political activity for the party, took place this Sunday and served as a platform for Carneiro to express the PS's concerns regarding the country's direction.
