The Public Security Police (PSP) is conducting the 14th edition of the operation "Solidarity Has No Age – the PSP with Seniors," which began on July 27 and will conclude on September 25 across the entire national territory. The main objective of this operation is to increase direct contact and dialogue with the elderly population, specifically those aged 65 and older.

So far, the operation has been able to signal 284 individuals over the age of 65. Among them, 182 have been identified as being in situations of social risk. This number includes some who are in social exclusion, although the exact figure has not been disclosed.

The PSP emphasizes the importance of early detection of cases of social fragility, aiming to protect the most vulnerable seniors. With initiatives like this, the police intend to establish a support network and continuous contact with elderly citizens.

In direct interactions with the community, PSP officers are visiting seniors and talking about their daily situations, promoting an atmosphere of trust. Solidarity and support are foundational pillars of this initiative, which strengthens the connection between the police and the elderly population.

The operation not only identifies those at risk but also seeks to involve the community in protecting its seniors, fostering a culture of care and vigilance in the areas where the actions are being carried out.

The continuation of this operation depends on the evaluation of the results obtained and the feedback received, as the goal is always to improve and enhance support for elderly individuals in social risk.
