The Lok Sabha Secretariat has sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi, requesting his response to privilege notices by August 28. The notices stem from complaints made by BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Sanjay Jaiswal regarding statements Gandhi made during a debate on the Public Examinations Bill.

Thakur's notice alleges that Gandhi made 'grave allegations' against Amit Shah without providing prior notification as required under Rule 353. Additionally, Jaiswal, who serves as the chief whip of the BJP in the Lok Sabha, has described Gandhi's remarks as 'unparliamentary'.

The Lok Sabha's communication to Gandhi includes a copy of the complaints made against him, outlining the basis for the privilege notices. Gandhi is expected to address these allegations in his response to the Secretariat.
