Renewal of Investigations into the 'Monster of Modena' Murders
Investigations into the murders of eight women attributed to the 'Monster of Modena' have been reopened after decades of inactivity.

The Police and Carabinieri are reopening the investigations into the murders attributed to the 'Monster of Modena,' a serial killer responsible for the deaths of at least eight women between 1985 and 1995.
Investigators, commissioned by the Public Prosecutor's Office, are currently reviewing the documents from that era and the evidence preserved at the Forensic Institute. They plan to analyze these materials using new scientific techniques to obtain useful information for the case.

Among the evidence are some hairs found in the hand of one of the victims, which had never been analyzed before. This analysis could provide new and relevant insights.
The reopening of the investigations marks an important step in the pursuit of truth regarding these unresolved murders, which traumatized the local community decades ago.
