A report from the working group on Social Security has been published and will be open for consultation until September 18.

A working group that has analyzed Social Security over the past year and a half has released its report, which is now available at the Directorate-General for Coordination and Planning (DGCP). The document indicates a negative balance of 1.9 billion euros in Social Security.
The report outlines six main proposals aimed at reforming the Social Security system. These proposals are deemed essential to address the issues identified in the report.

The document, coordinated by Jorge Bravo, will be open for public consultation until September 18. During this period, citizens can review the proposals and submit their comments.
Discussion surrounding the reform of Social Security has sparked reactions, with statements indicating that 'there’s no need to scare the Portuguese', although specifics about potential changes remain unclear.
