Reports of adverse drug reactions increase in 2025

The National Pharmacovigilance System (SNF) received a total of 12,349 reports of suspected adverse drug reactions in 2025. This figure represents a 9.2% increase compared to 2024.

According to Infarmed, the rise in reports is attributed to greater involvement from healthcare professionals and citizens in the pharmacovigilance process.

Of the reported notifications, 59.1% were classified as severe cases, as reported by sources from Observador. This percentage indicates that most of the situations reported involved significant adverse effects.
