Rescue of four people at Bola del Mundo and Siete Picos during eclipse

The Civil Guard rescued four people in the Community of Madrid who sought to observe a solar eclipse. Two of them had gotten lost in the mountains.

The Civil Guard conducted a rescue of four individuals near Bola del Mundo and Siete Picos in the Community of Madrid. These individuals had accessed the high mountain area with the intention of observing a solar eclipse that recently occurred.

During the operation, it was reported that a 56-year-old woman suffered a fainting spell, while a man showed signs of dizziness. Both were attended to on-site by emergency services.

According to a statement from the Benemérita, two of those rescued had lost their way while exploring the area corresponding to the third peak of Siete Picos.

The four individuals rescued were tourists who traveled to the Sierra de Guadarrama to enjoy the astronomical phenomenon. The Civil Guard received alerts regarding their situation and organized the rescue operation on Wednesday night.

Authorities emphasized the importance of having the right equipment and staying informed about weather conditions before engaging in activities in high mountain areas. This situation highlights the risks associated with exploring those regions.
