Russian forces have launched a new attack on the Ukrainian capital, striking the North Bridge in Kyiv following previous assaults on the South Bridge. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, this escalation has led to significant material damage and blocked traffic on several key roads in the city.

In the attack on the North Bridge, early reports indicate that the road surface and trolleybus cables have been affected. Local authorities have issued a warning about drone threats across the city, implementing emergency measures to minimize the impact on civilians.

This latest assault follows strikes on the South Bridge, where several attacks have occurred in recent days, causing casualties both at the site and in other areas like Bogodukhiv in the Kharkiv region. In total, casualties have been reported in both incidents.

The situation in Kyiv continues to raise concerns, particularly due to a media campaign that Russia has condemned in connection with this escalation. Ukrainian authorities cite a common objective from Moscow: to undermine Ukraine's energy infrastructure to exacerbate the current crisis.

Additionally, it has been reported that the European Union has recently transferred additional funds to Ukraine to support its efforts amid the conflict, underscoring the need for continued aid in light of the escalating attacks.

As the assaults continue, Russia has once again urged its diplomats and foreigners to leave Kyiv, intensifying tensions in the region. This situation highlights the daily challenges faced by the Ukrainian population due to repeated attacks on essential infrastructure.
