Russian strikes have been reported in Prylouky, northern Ukraine, resulting in a tragic toll of at least 28 dead, including five children. According to the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office, two stairwells in the attacked residential building were destroyed by missile fire, also leading to numerous injuries.

A report from Volodymyr Zelensky lamented the impact of these strikes, indicating that several children were among the victims and pleading that the Russians are targeting ordinary urban areas. Ukrainian authorities are reporting a high number of injuries, including children, without providing specific figures.

Other sources report that at least 24 people may have been killed in this operation, specifically mentioning that 18 of these victims were in the same building. The strikes also caused significant damage to energy infrastructure in the region.

These events are part of a broader context of Russian strikes across the country. Another recent attack targeted buses in Kramatorsk, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 people, as announced by various authorities.

The attacks have shocked not only Ukraine but also international officials, as the European Union has imposed sanctions on nearly 1,600 individuals and entities associated with the ongoing war. This brings the total to nearly 4,500 sanctions issued in response to Russian actions.

In the face of this escalation, Ukraine continues to face major military challenges, struggling against Russian ballistic missiles as well as new jet drones, according to local reports.
