Samsung forecasts record profit of €71.7 billion in third quarter
Samsung Electronics announced it expects an operating profit of around 107.4 trillion won, driven by demand for artificial intelligence semiconductors.

Samsung Electronics has revealed it anticipates a record operating profit of approximately 107.4 trillion won, equivalent to about €71.7 billion, for the third quarter of 2023. This figure represents a significant increase compared to the previous year, projecting a growth nearly nine times higher than the same period in 2022.
According to information from RTP and Observador, the growing demand for artificial intelligence-related semiconductors is driving profit forecasts. This increase is being observed across various segments, particularly in the memory market, where there is strong demand for chips.
The data has been released by various sources, with Samsung's estimates suggesting a revenue that could reach up to €130.18 billion. This sales volume reflects the upward trend in the technology sector, fueled by the need for greater capacity and efficiency in electronic devices.

Additionally, according to news channel Free Malaysia Today, forecasts indicate an operating profit that could reach $79.1 billion. This data supports the expectation of a sharp increase in operating margins due to robust demand for AI-related products.
Regarding chip margins, while many analysts expect a significant rise in profits, there is also concern that margins may stabilize. An analysis by CNA noted that despite the projected growth, chip margins may not be as volatile as anticipated.
The projected figures for the third quarter of 2023 mark a new era of profits in the technology industry, with Samsung setting a benchmark in the sector by forecasting such substantial financial results, thereby confirming its leadership role among technology companies.
