Sánchez criticizes Ayuso over the purchase of a penthouse in Madrid
The Prime Minister accuses the Madrid president of using public funds to acquire a luxury property.

Pedro Sánchez has publicly criticized Isabel Díaz Ayuso for the purchase of a penthouse in Chamberí, stating that she has acquired a "luxurious penthouse with the money of the people of Madrid." During an interview on 'Cadena SER', the head of the Government asserted that this action is unacceptable and questioned the morality behind the transaction.
Sánchez demanded that the leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, clarify what information he had regarding Ayuso's operation. This request focuses on the lack of accountability that the PP has demanded from the President of the Community of Madrid in the context of the controversy.
The issue has sparked an intense political debate, with Sánchez hardening his rhetoric towards Ayuso. This situation occurs within a climate of greater confrontation between the Government and the PP, following the acquisition of the property.

According to several sources, the purchase of the penthouse has elicited reactions both within and outside the political realm, intensifying the differences between the involved parties. The use of public funds for the purchase is one of the most contentious points.
Although the controversy continues, Ayuso's and the PP's response to Sánchez's accusations has yet to be clearly defined.
