Senate Investigation Requested for EDSA Repairs Due to Potholes
A Senate resolution calls for a probe into EDSA's repairs after potholes appeared following heavy rains.

On August 13, a resolution was filed in the Philippine Senate to investigate the rehabilitation and repair of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) after potholes emerged on newly repaired sections of the highway. This development followed more than a week of heavy rains in Metro Manila that exacerbated the condition of the roadway.
Senator Panfilo 'Ping' Lacson, who filed Senate Resolution No. 594, has called for the Senate Committee on Public Works to undertake this investigation. The emergence of new potholes has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the recent repair efforts on EDSA.
