Severe storms and heat hit different regions of Brazil
Heavy rain is expected in the South, while temperatures rise in the Midwest and Southeast.
On Thursday, October 13, the South of Brazil is facing another day of intense rainfall, with storm risks in areas of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná, as reported by Globo. The forecast indicates significant rainfall totals in these areas, generating alerts for the population.
Meanwhile, in the Midwest and various parts of the interior of the Southeast, temperatures are rising due to a brief warm spell, keeping the weather dry. The increase in temperatures in the region may contribute to greater thermal discomfort, with expected temperatures ranging from 19°C to 28°C in places like Apucarana, according to information from UOL.
In the Northeast, rain is expected to concentrate mainly on the coastal areas of Bahia, Sergipe, and Alagoas, offering a contrast to the dry weather observed in other parts of the country. The relative humidity in the Apucarana region, for example, varies from 50% to 87%, with a forecasted 33% chance of rain, according to data from Simepar.
