The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued a yellow storm alert for 24 cities in the South of Rio de Janeiro and the Costa Verde. The warning, which indicates a potential danger, took effect on Sunday, the 30th, at 11 AM and extends until 11:59 PM. Affected cities may experience rainfall between 20 and 30 mm/h, or up to 50 mm throughout the day, along with strong winds ranging from 40 to 60 km/h.

On the same day, Inmet also issued a yellow alert for low air humidity in 79 cities in Paraíba. This warning is valid from 11:12 AM to 8 PM on Sunday. According to the institute, the relative humidity may drop to between 20% and 30%, levels deemed unhealthy.

On the following day, October 31, Inmet issued a high-danger alert for storms affecting 378 cities in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. The alert indicates the possibility of hail and intense winds that may reach speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Additionally, 316 cities in Paraná received a similar alert on Monday regarding heavy rainfall, the possibility of hail, and winds that could reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. This alert is a result of a cold front passing through and the intensification of a low-pressure system originating from Paraguay.

Inmet's alerts aim to inform the public about adverse weather conditions, recommending precautions and appropriate measures to minimize risks associated with storms and high climatic instability.

The local Civil Defense and Inmet will continue to monitor weather conditions and update the public as necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of affected communities.
