The Shanghai Global Ranking, published on Saturday, shows that American universities continue to dominate the list. Harvard once again takes the top spot, followed by Stanford and MIT, according to multiple sources.

France, for its part, shows an upward trend with four of its institutions among the top 100. Paris-Saclay stands out as the leading French university, ranking 13th globally.

Other French universities, including Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) and Paris Cité, report respective advancements within the ranking, while the Sorbonne experiences a decline of several places.

This ranking has provoked varied reactions, highlighting both the constancy of American universities and the rise of French institutions on the global stage.
