US judge dismisses Trump lawsuit against Harvard over antisemitism

A US federal judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump's administration against the elite university Harvard. According to Judge Richard Stearns, it was insufficiently demonstrated that Harvard had violated provisions of the US Civil Rights Act that protect against discrimination.

The lawsuit was filed in March by the US Department of Justice and pertained to the university's handling of antisemitism. The judge noted that there was no sufficient evidence for a violation of the civil rights of Jewish students.

This decision is a setback for the Trump administration in its efforts to address allegations of antisemitism in the academic environment. The ruling was made on Thursday in Boston.
