In the Spanish region of Valencia, the situation has stabilized following a wildfire. Hundreds of firefighters were deployed to combat the blaze, which was triggered by a lightning strike in the town of Segorbe. The fire was brought under control overnight, as reported by the Civil Protection of the Autonomous Community of Valencia.

At the same time, cleanup efforts are underway following the severe flooding caused by heavy rains near Tarragona. The effects of the rainfall are still being felt, and challenges remain for the emergency services. The region had recently endured significant rainfall, leading to flooding in several areas.

About 1,000 residents of the threatened town of Gátova, who were evacuated from their homes, are now allowed to return. This measure was deemed necessary to ensure the safety of local inhabitants during firefighting efforts.
