Lian Yunzhi, aged six, set a new women's world record by solving the Rubik's Cube in 4.27 seconds.

Chinese girl Lian Yunzhi, just six years old, set a new women’s world record by solving the 3x3 Rubik's Cube in 4.27 seconds. This achievement occurred during an official competition certified by the World Cube Association (WCA) held in Guangzhou, China.
Lian had previously achieved a time of 4.52 seconds in a competition in Wuhan just three days prior. These two performances surpassed the previous women's record in Rubik's Cube solving, establishing her as one of the youngest to achieve such a feat.
According to various news agencies, Lian Yunzhi knows over 1,300 algorithms that assist her in solving the Rubik's Cube and practices between two to three hours daily, which has contributed to her success.

With these new times, Lian has become the first woman in the world to maintain an average solving time under 4.5 seconds, solidifying her position in the speedcubing sport.
The records were confirmed by state media, highlighting the remarkable skill of the girl who challenges stereotypes about young competitors in mental sports.
Furthermore, the current men’s world record stands at 3.51 seconds, held by Yiheng, which further emphasizes Lian's performance in the global competitive context.
