On the coming Friday, entrepreneurs from the earthmoving sector will organize a slow march in protest against rising fuel prices. The event aims to gather over 400 trucks, starting at 7:30 AM and traveling along highways such as the A42, A41, and A1, connecting Paredes to Coimbra.

The slow march has been announced as a way to demand "concrete answers" from authorities regarding high fuel prices. According to released information, participation may include more than 100 companies, all linked to the earthmoving sector, each contributing heavy vehicles to the protest.

The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) will be present with a police force "specially directed" to monitor the event. The corporation has prepared to adopt measures it deems necessary during the march, ensuring the safety of the protesters and the public roadway.

The route of the march includes passage through several highways, and the GNR has prepared a contingency plan to ensure that traffic is not severely affected while maintaining control over the flow of vehicles.

Although some traffic delays are expected from the march, authorities plan to minimize the impact on other roads, as the GNR has indicated. The aim is to reconcile the right to demonstrate with the need to keep traffic flowing for other drivers.

This protest arises in the context of growing discontent among entrepreneurs in the sector, who feel pressured by operating costs due to rising fuel prices. The slow march highlights concerns over the financial sustainability of the transport and earthmoving sector.
