A report from a citizen regarding a possible landing of migrants in the Sesimbra area prompted a response from the authorities. According to the report, between 20 to 30 people were believed to have arrived by boat in the region. However, authorities, including the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) and the Maritime Police, stated that they could not confirm the occurrence of this landing.

The GNR and the Maritime Police have been keeping the area under surveillance, but so far, there is no concrete evidence to support the claims of landing. The lack of additional information has led authorities to exercise caution regarding the citizen's report.

Additionally, the vessel that was purportedly seen has not been located. Authorities continue to monitor the situation along the coast, but no specific warning has been issued to the public beyond ongoing patrols in the area.

These operations aim to ensure the safety of the region and respond quickly to potential illegal activities, but thus far, efforts have not resulted in confirmations of a migrants' landing in Sesimbra.
