The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has classified the eclipse as a 'High Impact Event', warning about the potential influence it could have on road traffic due to public interest in viewing it.
Visibility of the eclipse will vary by region. In southern Spain, a partial eclipse will be experienced, while in the northern part of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, it will be possible to see it in full.
This astronomical event paves the way for what is known as the Eclipse Trio, which includes two more eclipses scheduled for 2027 and 2028, making this a notable period for astronomy in the country.
